Help Rose Fight Against Breast Cancer

Dear friends,

On January 24, 2024, our beloved friend Rose received the heartbreaking news of being diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. Discovering a mass in her left breast, she courageously took immediate action to have it assessed. The heart dropping diagnosis revealed grade 2 invasive ductal carcinoma, ER+/PR-, HER2+, stage 2B (an aggressive type of cancer that needs immediate intensive treatment).

Rose is now facing a life-changing journey, beginning with a scheduled double mastectomy on March 12th. Following this, she will undergo hormonal treatment for the next 5 years, endure 6 months to a year of chemotherapy, and possibly radiation pending the final pathology report from the surgery.

A radiant and compassionate individual, Rose is not only a devoted mother to two children and a remarkable wife but also an unwavering pillar of support for the community, especially Cottonwood Creek School.

Rose has played various pivotal roles for Cottowood Creek School, currently serving as the President of the Parent Faculty Club (PFC) for the past 2 years, spending countless hours in leading the team funding raising for enrichment programs and organizing community events for the students. Prior, she served as Chairman on the School Side Council (SSC) advocating for school site facility improvements (e.g.- the new gym currently being built) and program improvements.

Beyond her community involvement, Rose's passion lies in gardening, where she has made significant contributions to the rose-growing community. Under the Instagram and Facebook handle 'Rose Dream Garden,' she shares her knowledge, assists fellow rose growers globally, and fosters a sense of unity.

Unfortunately, due to this aggressive cancer, Rose had to step away from her beloved job and faces a period of uncertainty where she won't be able to work. During this challenging time, she, along with her family, will require substantial support.
