My sister, Rosa Perez, is a loving mother and grandmother whose world was turned upside down early Friday morning, April 24, 2026. Around 2–4 AM in Columbus, Georgia, Rosa became the victim of a brutal robbery attempt. She was shot in the back of the neck, with the bullet striking her carotid artery. She was rushed into emergency surgery and remains in critical condition at the hospital. The police are still actively investigating, and no arrests have been made yet. Our family is overwhelmed with shock, fear, confusion, and grief as we try to process what has happened and fight for Rosa’s recovery.
Rosa’s children and her three beloved dogs depend on her, and her family desperately wants her close during this terrifying time. Because of the severity of her injuries, we need to relocate her to Kentucky as soon as she is medically stable so she can be near her children and immediate family who love and want to care for her. The road ahead will be long and expensive. We are asking for help to cover medical bills and ongoing medications, relocation and transportation costs to Kentucky, household bills while Rosa cannot work, and care for her three dogs during her hospitalization and recovery.
Any amount you can give will make a real difference in helping us bring Rosa home and support her healing. Your kindness and generosity will help ease this unimaginable burden on our family. Please keep Rosa in your thoughts and prayers as she fights for her life. Sharing this campaign is just as valuable as a donation. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for any help you can provide. We are truly grateful.
