Help Rosa Mendonca Get Life-Saving Surgery

I'm going to tell you a little about my story here. My name is Rosa Mendonca. In 2018, I had an Emergency Surgery to remove my gallbladder, and a surgery that was supposed to be simple and quick became complicated, and I almost never came back.

During the first week after surgery, recovering at home, I started to feel some twinges near my belly button. When I went back to the hospital to remove the stitches, I spoke to the doctor, and he said it was normal, as it had touched inside, due to the Laparoscopy performed.

After almost 5 months, I started to feel really sick and one day after getting home from work I ended up in the Emergency Room of a hospital. After several exams, they did the CAT SCAN and discovered through this exam that I had Surgical Hernia. They couldn't do anything, it had been too long.

I continued working, with pain and the hernia expanding. I've ended up in the hospital other times, but unfortunately, I couldn't stop working. Today I have a “ball” in my belly. It's very big.

To fix the hernia, I need to have another surgery first, as I have gained a lot of weight and need to lose at least 60 pounds, (about 30kg). The doctor recommended that I undergo bariatric surgery to lose this weight, as I have tried everything and cannot lose weight.

This Bariatric Surgery (recommended by the doctor) will not be done for aesthetic reasons but rather so I can lose the necessary weight to fix the hernia. With that I can improve my physical condition.

I signed up for health insurance and tried, but unfortunately I wasn’t approved. After much thought, I decided to accept a friend's suggestion and use Go FundMe. I hope to achieve my goal.

Vou contar um pouco da minha historia aqui, meu nome e Rosa Mendonca, em 2018, fiz uma Cirurgia de Emergencia de retirada da Vesicila, e uma cirurgia que seria para ser simples e rapida, se complicou e quase nao volto.

Ainda durante a primeira semana pos cirurgia, em casa me recuperando, comecei a sentir umas fisgadas perto do umbigo, quando fomos retirar os pontos, falei com o medico e ele disse que era normal, pois tinha mexido la dentro, por causa da Laparoscopia feita.

Depois de uns quase 5 meses, comecei a passar muito mal e um dia apos chegar do trabalho acabei indo parar na Emergencia de um Hospital. Depois de varios exames fizeram o CAT SCAN e descobriram atraves desse exame que eu estava com uma Hernia Cirurgica, nao poderiam fazer nada, ja tinha muito tempo.

E entao continuei trabalhando, com dor e a hernia tomando espaco. Ja fui parar no Hospital outras vezes, mas infelizmente nao pude parar de trabalhar, hoje estou com uma “bola” na barriga, esta muito grande.

Para corrigir a Hernia, preciso fazer uma outra cirurgia antes, pois engordei muito e preciso perder no minimo 60 pounds, (uns 30kg), o medico recomendou eu fazer a bariatrica para perder esse peso, pois ja tentei de tudo e nao consigo emagrecer.

Essa Cirurgia Bariatrica (indicada pelo medico), nao sera feita por estetica e sim para eu conseguir perder o peso necessario para corrigir a Hernia, e com isso conseguir melhorar minha condicao fisica.

Fizemos seguro saude e tentamos, mas infelizmente nao conseguimos aprovacao, por isso depois de muito pensar, resolvi aceitar a sugestao de uma Amiga e fazer o gofoundme, espero conseguir o nosso objetivo.
