Tuesday morning, my sister, Rosa, was hospitalized for having a stroke. After testing, they found that she has had four strokes that strengthened severely each time. Thankfully, these were still not extremely severe. She is currently experiencing memory loss and having difficulty with her speech. She will be unable to work for an unknown amount of time.

This hospitalization and recovery process will be extremely costly. Medical expenses and living expenses can be very stressful when you are trying to recover. My hope is that this will be able to set her mind at ease and relieve her financial worry and allow her to recover faster. Any support is greatly and graciously appreciated.

My sister is a very supportive and giving person. She has supported our family in many ways throughout the years. When I myself was experiencing a difficult situation, she traveled from Ohio immediately to be here by my side and was my advocate in certain situations.

Professionally, she has been in the social work field advocating for other people dealing with traumatic situations. She was currently in a position working in crisis response, in many cases responding to suicide attempts, including minors, and many other traumatic situations. Rosa has an extremely large heart.
