Hi everyone,

With all your help I recently started my MA in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Cincinnati. While I am grateful to have a scholarship that covers tuition and provides a stipend, and the support my community has given to me, I am currently facing financial struggles because of housing.

Before arriving in Cincinnati, I was not able to find roommates in time, so I had to accept the university’s on-campus housing offer. Unfortunately, the contract I signed does not allow me to move out until next semester, and the cost is much higher than what I can afford. Most of my stipend is going directly to rent, leaving me with very little for food, transportation, and personal expenses.

That’s why I am reaching out for support. Any contribution will help me cover my basic living costs until I am able to move into more affordable housing next semester.

Gracias a su apoyo he podido comenzar mi Maestría en Estudios de la Mujer, Género y Sexualidad en la Universidad de Cincinnati. Aunque estoy muy agradeide por la beca que cubre mi matrícula y me ofrece un dinero extra, así como por el apoyo de mi comunidad, actualmente estoy enfrentando dificultades económicas debido a la vivienda.

Antes de llegar a Cincinnati no logré encontrar compañeres de cuarto a tiempo, por lo que tuve que aceptar la opción de vivienda en el campus que ofrece la universidad. Lamentablemente, el contrato que firmé no me permite salir hasta el próximo semestre, y el costo es mucho más alto de lo que puedo cubrir. La mayor parte de mi dinero se va en pagar la renta, lo que me deja con muy poco para comida, transporte y gastos personales.

Por eso recurro nuevamente a ustedes en busca de apoyo. Cualquier contribución me ayudará a cubrir mis gastos básicos de vida hasta que pueda mudarme a una vivienda más accesible el próximo semestre.
