Hey everyone! As a lot of you may know my son Rook has epilepsy that sadly from what it sounds like he will not be one of the lucky ones that grows out of it. A majority of his seizures happen all throughout the night in clusters. After a year and a half it is still uncontrolled with medication and now there’s a possibility he could end up having surgery on his brain. Since his seizures have started he has co-slept with Scotty and I in our bed because I feel when he’s seizing and I’m able to wake up and take care of him. I love being able to cuddle bug boy but he’s getting bigger,there’s just not a lot of room in our bed and we now have baby #2 arriving pretty soon. At our last appointment with his neurologist I asked about any kind of monitoring that’d give us peace of mind and alert us so he can start sleeping in his own bed. To our surprise there is an option! Unfortunately though the monitoring system is not covered by insurance and is $1400. I know the holidays are around the corner and I’m not one to usually ask for help, heck we’ve been doing this on our own ever since his diagnoses and it hasn’t been cheap. But with baby #2 on the way, the cost of living continuing to just get higher and higher and his medical bills continuing to add up I am asking for rooks sake if you’re able to help donate to help get this device for him it would be greatly appreciated.
