Hi, I’m Abrielle, and this is my 11-year-old cat, Roo.

I found him outside on the night of July 13, 2016, when I was 15. He was fragile and in rough shape, but he still came right up to me. With a lot of care and plenty of treats, he pulled through, and he’s been my best friend ever since.

Everyone always says that I saved him, but really, he saved me. Roo has been with me through every hardship and has always been affectionate, pure-hearted, and full of love.

Recently, Roo was diagnosed with high-grade lymphoma, an aggressive form of cancer. He’s now undergoing a 25-week chemo treatment to help him stay comfortable and enjoy the best quality of life for as long as possible. He has already had two treatments and seems to be responding well. Each session costs $250 to $500, along with his daily medications, food, and eventually at-home care when the time comes. Cats respond differently to chemo than people do, and most handle it very well. It helps them keep eating, playing, and living happily.

I’m working multiple jobs and doing everything I can, but I could really use some help covering the costs. Roo has been by my side for over a decade, and I just want to make sure he gets the care and comfort he deserves. He truly is a spirit bigger than his body.
