Help Ronnie Overcome Cancer's Challenge

We are reaching out to share the story of our beloved son, Cliff (Ronnie). As parents we dream of our kids living their lives to the fullest, never once did we imagine at the age of 33 our oldest son would be diagnosed with colon cancer. Cliff went to the hospital with stomach pain and unable to hold food or liquids down. Initially we were told he would have emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix but during CT scans the doctor identified a mass measuring 7.4x4.5 that was blocking his intestines. Two months ago, Cliff was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, and we assumed the weight loss was due to the Celiac. When we arrived at the hospital in Ohio and saw our son, we didn’t recognize him at first due to the substantial weight loss just within a month and half ago when he visited us in Florida.

The surgery was extensive as the mass had consumed a significant amount of his colon and had ruptured, we are still in the first 48 hours after surgery with a long road ahead. Moving forward he will need additional chemotherapy to ensure that all signs of the cancer are completely gone. A surgical procedure to relocate the colon as he has a bag on the opposite side to keep any contaminates from the surgical procedure.

Recovery will be long and his ability to return to work is uncertain. We will need to relocate him to Florida to be near so that he has family support, care and help getting to and from the doctor's appointments.

He has faced this challenge with incredible strength and courage, but his journey forward will be a winding & tough road.

The emotional and financial toll of medical bills, follow-up treatments, and daily living expenses can be overwhelming during this time of recovery. Our son has always been the person who lights up a room with his smile and is always willing to help others in any way he can.

Our goal is to raise $ 20,000.00 to help him cover medical expenses, treatment cost, and any necessary support needed during recovery. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference and alleviate any burdens that can weigh heavily on someone facing such a life-changing diagnosis.
