Help Ronnie to stay at home
Hi! My name is Benedicte Roberts known as Bennie to many. Together with Michael, Ronnie’s son I am fundraising for our Hero and Father in law Ronnie Roberts. Ronnie was in a motor vehicle accident Saturday March 6th and it has turned his life upside down since.
As a result of the accident Ronnie is today quadriplegic. This means that he has some function in his arms and hands, but will be dependent on a electric wheelchair for the rest of his life. He is now at Shepherd center for Spinal Cord Injuries in Atlanta, GA where he is receiving excellent care and Physical Therapy! It is our BIG GOAL that Ronnie and Becky is still going be able to live together in their house in Surfside when he is being discharged from the hospital .
Until the point of accident Ronnie was strong and healthy. The past 16 years he has been working for Horry County School District as a Class 1 CDL instructor. For 20 years he was the Owner-Operator of Doctor Drive’s driver training. He served in Law enforcement as Police Officer and Police Chief for 25 years. He also served 6 years in the National Guard.
We hope that friends and family will see this post and give from the Heart so that Ronnie can enjoy life at home. He has served the community well and has been a very generous person to those around him. We hope that with some help will make this dream come true!

- Co-payments for Electric wheel chair, shower chair and electric hoist.
- Switchback Ramp to house after specs from Shepherd Center
- Renovation of bathroom to make it wheel chair accessible.
