Ronnie Silliker is a friend to many, and loved by all who know him. The outpouring amount of support, messages, meals, and visits he has received is a testament to Ronnie’s impact on others, and he now really needs the financial support of his friends, loved ones, and community at this time.

He has worked all his life and has always been an active member of the hockey community, being both a player and a coach for over 20 years. He also has been a coach for softball for many years. Ronnie is an awesome Dad to his 4 sons and 3 step daughters and an amazing partner to his fiancée, Pauline.

In February 2021, Ronnie was diagnosed with cancer, Multiple Myeloma. Since his diagnoses he has been undergoing continuous chemotherapy, multiple bone marrow biopsy’s, bone hardening treatments, and surgery which include weekly trips to Summerside, multiple trips to Charlottetown and most recently for appointments and his Stem Cell Harvesting in Halifax.

Ronnie has faced this battle with a positive attitude and such determination. The disease process has caused him to be put off work from Irving Oil indefinitely, since February, and his spouse Pauline has been off work since June to be with him throughout this journey.

The next step for Ronnie is to return to Halifax for more high dose chemotherapy and the Stem Cell Transplant. Due to the high risk of this transplant, Ronnie will be expected to be there for at least 2 months (and Pauline as his required caregiver) with continuous care to ensure the transplant process is successful, with the Cancer in remission.
