A couple of weeks ago, I experienced a life-changing medical emergency. I passed out on my porch and was unconscious for five hours before my neighbor found me. I was flown by flight for life to the hospital, where I was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism. The experience was terrifying, and the medical care I received was extensive. Every test and procedure came with a hefty price tag, and unfortunately, Medicare doesn’t cover everything.

Now, I’m facing a mountain of medical bills and co-payments that I simply can’t manage on my own. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward paying these bills and covering the costs of ongoing care. It’s hard for me to ask for help—I was raised to be independent and not rely on others—but this situation has left me with no other option.
