Help Ronald Recover from Brutal Attack
Donation protected
**THX TO EVERYONE FOR THE DONATIONS! All money that exceeds the goal goes towards Pad Paws massive bills!!**
(Like the Jan 2 echocardiogram we had to get for our kitty we rescued from an animal hoarder, she was living in the air ducts! Or our blind ginger who needed all his teeth pulled!)
Ronald/Gingey/whatever fits is a community cat of over TEN YEARS on 1st street in Jersey City. He showed up this past Thursday (1/2) with the right side of his face brutalized. I knew he had to see a vet ASAP. Bright and early the next morning, I trapped him with some fresh chicken and Sage Vet Center graciously squeezed him in during a very busy day. The vet thinks it was potentially a non-cat to attack him (like a fox!) as he had puncture wounds that were likely too wide for a cat. Seems as if this other animal had the right side of Ronald’s face in their mouth and he somehow just fought them off! He’s now recovering indoors and will go back out to his colony besties when he’s ready.
I am a board member of Pad Paws. The org is taking full responsibility for his recovery and care including all medications/food/litter… but funds are soooo tight right now I had to put the vet bill on my care credit (though I sure as hell don’t have the money either!). I got some basic tests run on him because he’s considered a senior and I think it’s good to have a general idea of what kind of path Ronald has moving forward when he’s released. As someone who spends half my paycheck consistently on cats, I would love if you could help me recoup the costs of this one! It was unexpected but I had no choice, we all owe it to our community kitties!
Bill below! Idk why it made me split it up, but you get the point! Lol
And here’s proof it went on my care credit!
