In July of this year, our father was diagnosed with stage 4 of an aggressive strain of squamous cell lung cancer. Ronald Marks is 56 years old and though he was physically disabled, he was healthy enough to help his wife, chase around any of his 12 grandkids, fish with his sons and brother, and care for his two boxers. This diagnosis came as a shock to all of us, as Ronald was under a doctor's care for an injury.
We are trying to lessen the burden on his family and loved ones. In the two and a half months since his diagnosis, his health has steadily deteriorated, the cancer spreading extremely fast and has now reached his brain and liver. As he doesn't have long left, we are making preparations. My dad was never shy about helping others; mom used to joke about him picking up strays all the time. If you can help out, we would greatly appreciate it. And if you can't, then he'd gladly accept your prayers. Thank you.
