Help Ron Save His Family Home

Donation protected
Hello my name is Jessica and one of my dear friends and fellow homeless volunteers is in the process of becoming homeless himself.

Ron lives in his family home that was owned by his parents. When his parents passed away the taxes for the home were already in arrears. Rons father worked 3 jobs to purchase the home so that he could move his children to a safe neighborhood. Prior to his passing, Rons father asked him to take care of the house and keep it in the family- but that made things even more difficult for Ron because he was in a tough financial spot personally.

Ron works full time but still cannot afford health insurance. No insurance became particularly problematic when a hospital stay left him dealing with a $20,000 wage garnishment. Because his paychecks are now garnished he fell even further behind on the tax payments and is unfortunately in the middle of the process of the house going up for Auction at the end of February.

Because of his financial hardship Ron decided he would have to sell the home- however, he was hit with another roadblock that the probate court for name transfers has been closed and now it is extremely backed up that he is unable to transfer the home into his name in order to sell. This made things emotionally challenging as well because he had finally come to peace with selling the house and was unable to even do that.

If I could say one simple thing about Ron its that he is genuinely good person. Not just someone who says hes a good person- but he actually is a wonderful hardworking man who cares about the less fortunate and understands all others situations without judgement. I have witnessed him first hand give the coat off his back to a stranger without blinking an eye. He just celebrated 16 years in recovery from drug addiction this past October and attributes much of his of his continued sobreity to helping the less fortunate and leading by example that life can (and does) get better.

As for life getting better- the homeless helper being now faced with homelessness himself doesn't feel much better but he is still optimistic.

Ron deserves friends like me and friends like you to share what an asset he is to the community and share the first hand experience we have with this incredible man lending himself to so many when he himself is on the verge of being in the same situation.

One of the most amazing and heartwarming (yet heartbreaking) points of his helping others is that 80% of the food and donations in his mission comes from his own pocket. I have been fortunate to rummage up donations for him here and there especially a couple years ago with my churches women's Christmas tea - but please know in your heart that so much of his time and financials is from himself and his character. I truly feel fortunate that he is one of the people in my life who is truly living christ-like and the way that we all should aspire to be.

Please consider any donation- this is an expedited process so please don't "think it over" or say you'll do it later... Ron only has until the end of February.

If you cannot donate to help him or have ANY questions about his reputation or my lengthy experience with him please do not hesitate to call/text me at [phone redacted] or facebook message me here.

***I have included several photos showing all of his efforts from his handmade pancakes in the park signs, to his funk music while he cooks, to changing pancakes to hamburgers one day just to help out and draw a crowd ***
