Carolina Marine and Cycle owner, Ron, received a call early Sunday morning that his beloved boat and cycle shop had caught fire. Not only did he lose everything - all of his tools and business equipment inside, but the fire also burned his own boat and a few customer boats he was fixing. Ron is known in the area for providing great service. He has been a mechanic in Union County for many years. Honest, reliable, and humble. Always giving the best prices and working with people. His insurance coverage was minimal, so he has had to close down and is out of business after 30 years of hard work. His son Johnny works with him as well - and they are now both out of work.
