Help Ron get home and life amputee prepared

Thank you for reading! My name is Tammy and my father Ron Ollen was hospitalized Nov. 7th with Covid 19th. He was in a coma, on ventilator and developed many clots in his legs and stomach. The Vascular amazing team in Kamloops restored a lot of blood flow but unfortunately my dad lost his lower right leg yesterday and will lose part of the left foot in the months to come. My parents are seniors on Canada pension and have no insurance to cover prescriptions, devises, wheelchair, ramps or even a vehicle to get him in and out of. Most of these necessary items have little to no coverage through our provincial medical benefits.
Ron has been a pillar in the Salmon Arm old timers hockey club for decades; coaching, organizing, volunteering , truly loving the sport and the players. He has been so brave and so grateful to be here still but he needs help now .. to be able to get physical therapy, mobility access, a wheelchair, a prosthetic.
This has been the scariest, most traumatic experience for both my parents and they need help. They both are only 70 and love each other deeply but they need help. Any financial help is appreciated to help get through this as their Canadian pension plan doesn’t remotely cover any of these medical cost or necessary medical devises. My dad loves the outdoors and We want to see him be able to walk again one day on a new leg and sit and the campfire with the fish he caught with his grandkids.
Thank you for your time and anything you can do is appreciated and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. May your family’s be safe during this difficult time and blessings flow to your loved ones.
