Ron had just moved into his Duplex home to be closer to his wife, who is in a continuous care facility. After carefully downsizing and choosing the possessions most dear to him, he was settling into his new home. On July 30th, while Ron was out cleaning and running errands, he received a call that his townhouse was on fire. By the time he returned, the fire department was already there, and his home was essentially a total loss.
The fire started near Ron's attic and quickly spread to the neighboring unit where Ava lives. Ava was out getting dinner at the time, and thankfully, neither she nor Ron were harmed. There was no one in either home when the fire began, and the fire department was able to put it out, but both homes were destroyed. Both Ron and Ava lost most of their possessions in the fire, leaving them without a place to live and facing the daunting task of starting over.
The funds raised will help Ron and Ava with temporary housing, replacing essentials, and beginning the process of rebuilding their lives. They will also need support as they navigate the long and arduous process of dealing with insurance. Please help Ron and Ava recover from this devastating loss. Any support you can offer will make a huge difference as they start over.
