Hi. I'm Romy (she/her)! We probably know each other in someway or another – or maybe we don't, but thanks for clicking this link! I'm a PhD student in theology and have been on a long journey to become a priest in the Episcopal Church. My life is made possible by the love I give and receive from my friends and communities. Oh and I'm getting bottom surgery in 2 months!

Mid-May of this year, I'll be undergoing a vaginoplasty, and I'm very, very excited (someone would say ecstatic) about this! This has been a now 2-year journey of seeing doctors, getting approvals, evaluations, lots of appointments.

While I have had relatively great health insurance and coverage during this time, transitioning is expensive, and my upcoming procedure is no joke! I'll be out of commission, unable to work for at least two months this summer as I recover.

I'm asking my friends, communities, and others to help me raise $6,500 by the beginning of April. This money will go towards: my copay, 3 months of rent, food, medical equipment, compensation for my caregivers, and an air conditioner for my room where I'll be on bed rest.
