My name is Romario and I am 15 years old, I have been practicing judo for 3 years with the help and support of Odd Squad Police Judo Juniors.
I really like judo and I have a strong commitment to becoming a National medalist.
I also volunteer my time to help youth in the OSP Police Judo Junior program as well as other volunteer work for the Charity of Odd Squad Productions (www.oddsquad.com).
I have an opportunity to travel to France in December 2023 to enhance my skills and achieve the goal of becoming a national medallist and to do this I need some financial support. My goal is to cover all of the travel expenses which are estimated to be $2300.00. If this fundraiser is successful it will enable me to participate in an international training trip that will provide valuable learning opportunities and help me get closer to being one of the top athletes in Canada!
For every $1000 pledged I will commit to 40 hours of volunteer service to coaching juniors at Odd Squad (my home club) and will report back on when I have completed this. A recent result I am proud of is a gold medal at the Judo BC Provincial Championships - April 7-9, 2023.
