Our dear cousin Roman, a loving father to two beautiful teenage girls and our aunt’s only child, is suffering from Stage 4 cancer. Roman, who is the primary income provider for his family, has battled Crohn’s disease for over 15 years, which has left his immune system compromised and his body weakened. Last September, Roman received a devastating diagnosis of tongue cancer and had a long and arduous surgery to remove his tongue. Although we were hopeful that he would recover, the cancer came back more aggressively and has now spread throughout his esophagus and digestive tract. Due to his Crohn’s disease, his body can’t sustain traditional treatment options that will drastically lower his white blood cell count. Still, we are hopeful and will do all we can to find a treatment his body can tolerate to fight the cancer. We are asking kindly that you find it in your heart to donate to our cousin and his family in this time of need as they desperately try other therapies. The chemotherapy we hope he receives is not fully covered by insurance and is difficult to afford but has extended the lives of other patients with similar diagnoses by years. Please help ease the financial burden for this beautiful, young family as they fight the cancer and concentrate on treatment and healing. Thank you for your open hearts, generosity, and support.
