Three years ago, we found Roma, our sweet cat, wandering the streets, and we knew right away we had to bring him home. As a former street cat, Roma loves his freedom and enjoys exploring the outdoors, so we’ve always let him roam safely. Unfortunately, a few days ago, he returned from one of his adventures with a serious injury to his front left leg.

After rushing him to the emergency vet, we were heartbroken to learn that his leg is broken in a very difficult spot—right at the junction between the leg and shoulder. The injury is so severe that the best option to prevent further suffering is to amputate his leg. While this is devastating news, we know that Roma will still be able to live a full, happy life. However, the surgery is very expensive, and we’re unable to cover the full cost on our own.

Right now, Roma is on pain medication and staying as comfortable as possible, but he needs surgery as soon as possible. That’s why we’re asking for your help. Any amount, big or small, would mean the world to us and get Roma one step closer to healing and living pain-free again.
