This is Rollo.

He’s 14 months old and was born with spina bifida. He has weakness in his hind end and cannot control his bladder or bowels. He requires diapers, daily supplements, and hands-on bladder expression just to stay healthy and comfortable.

He doesn’t know he’s disabled.

He just knows he loves kids, car rides, and being everyone’s favorite naughty boy.

Last year, Rollo underwent corrective surgery for one of his luxating patellas. Two weeks after surgery, the site became severely infected, and his surgery and recovery ultimately cost over $3,000.

A week ago, Rollo began urinating blood.

Emergency visit: $508.

Last night, he was vomiting and developed severe bloody diarrhea.

Today’s diagnostics and treatment: $467.

He now has repeat bloodwork scheduled because his red blood cell levels are being closely monitored. If they continue to drop, a blood transfusion may become necessary.

We are still waiting for lab results and answers. Right now, treatment is focused on stabilizing him and closely monitoring his blood counts.

Veronica works full-time to provide for her pets and has gone above and beyond her means to care for Rollo. She has exhausted her financial options trying to stay ahead of his medical needs.

I am creating this fundraiser on her behalf.

We are trying to raise $3,200 to help cover ongoing diagnostics, follow-up lab work, and immediate care. Any funds raised beyond that amount will go directly toward his continued disability management and long-term medical needs.

Rollo has fought since the day he was born.
