At Roll For Pragmatics, PLLC we have been delivering high-quality Speech-Language Pathology services to some of the brightest, kindest, smartest kids and adults in our area. Our gaming tables have been full of opportunities to make friends, learn to collaborate, logically problem solve, and take risks, and we've done it with kids coming to the session exactly as they are.
The time has come to broaden our games and increase our outreach!
We have leased the perfect storefront space near Oak Park's historic Arts District and within view of the Maze branch of the Oak Park Public Library. The Space is accessible from the blue line trains and we will be just off of the Austin 290 exit.

With a fantasy tavern feel Oak Park's Red Dragon gaming space will be an easy commute from Julian and Brooks Middle Schools as well as OPRF. The space will be used for pragmatic language, articulatory, and fluency speech treatment as well as rentable for private gaming parties that want to give their games an authentic, professional ambiance.
We are also broadening our horizons by marketing to and taking clients from Austin, Berwyn, River Forest, Maywood, and North Riverside. Age ranges will also increase with daytime and weekend games coming online for the younger client as well as for adult groups who need to fine-tune their social skills in the workplace.
Our goal is to create an immersive, safe space specifically for those who not only enjoy role play gaming, but for those who are looking to make long-term friends and connections. In order to do so we need the following:
- Gaming tables - we need at least two professional tables specifically used for RPG.
- Bookshelves and decorative pieces - Picture a waiting area that has some small tables for homework, an interior library highlighting the latest in classic books as well as any special interests, and shelves of projects and hobbies that visitors can pick up and try
- A 3-D printer so that players can print their own miniatures as well as the paint to make them individual
- Fixing up the kitchen - we will need to stock food and water for hungry players
- Signage and marketing - with the help of the fabulous Paul Goyette taking pictures and video of actual kids at the gaming table we will be able to share with the world what it's like to connect with others in a truly safe space
A soft opening will hopefully kick off in the beginning of 2025 with live gaming and an open house, but before that can happen we need to make the space all that it can be!
