Help Roland Lepine pay for his medical stay in hospital

On January 4th, 2024, my dad, Roland Lepine, also known as « Rolly », was admitted to Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, due to respiratory issues. He was later diagnosed with COVID-19 and placed in a coma for weeks. Upon waking, he experienced confusion but gradually began to regain his awareness. Although the feeding tube was eventually removed, he has remained on a ventilator as a life support measure, necessitating his continued stay in the hospital as his diaphragm no longer works.

As of October 2024, Roland is facing significant financial challenges due to hospital bills amounting in a lot of money per month, roughly 1500$ on top of his rent at home. He is already at 10 000$ in unpaid fees. For those of you who are asking yourself why is the hospital charging him? We also don't understand, but we learnt that it's common when patients spend more than a year in the hospital.

Unfortunately, he is unable to return home as he continues to be on life support, and the burden of these costs weighs heavily on him. He has now spent 1.5 years as a hospital inpatient and being charged for his stay.

We are seeking your support to help alleviate the financial strain caused by these mounting expenses. Any contributions will go directly toward covering Roland's medical bills. Your kindness and generosity can make a meaningful difference during this difficult time. Thank you for considering helping Roland.

Thank you kindly,
