Roland is only 38 years old, and he’s fighting for his life.
Not long ago, he was living a normal life - making plans, working, laughing with the people he loves. Then everything changed with a diagnosis no one is ever prepared to hear: stage four stomach cancer. It’s aggressive, it’s heartbreaking, and it has turned each day into a battle for time, strength, and hope.
Even in this difficult time, he continues to show remarkable courage, strength, and hope. He is fighting with everything he has. As a family, we are doing everything we can to help him pursue every possible treatment option while ensuring he is surrounded by love, comfort, and dignity.
He is currently hospitalized at Johns Hopkins Medicine and continues to push through enduring tests and treatments, looking for the best options available to him, including possibly returning home to Côte d’Ivoire to continue treatment while surrounded by family and loved ones.
This journey has brought deep emotional and financial challenges. We are raising funds to help cover costs of hospital care and treatments, medications, travels, and expenses that insurance doesn’t fully cover so that Roland can focus on his care and spend meaningful time with the people he loves most.
We humbly ask for your support. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help. If you are unable to give, please keep Roland and our family in your prayers and consider sharing this page.
Roland is still here. He’s still fighting. And we are going to fight right beside him—until we don’t have to anymore.
With love and gratitude,
His spouse, parents, uncle and siblings:
Carine, Mathias, Yvone, Mady, Stephane, Blandine and Sabine
