Help with Rolan the Kitty's Vet Costs

Donation protected
Hi my name is Summer and if you know me at all then you know that I've always loved cats and I would do anything to help a kitty in need. My younger sister Chloe and her boyfriend Isaac have a 2 year old kitty named Rolan who is the sweetest, dopiest boy with the tiniest meow you've ever heard. Chloe has always been an extreme animal lover, almost to a fault (flashback to her calling me crying when she ran over a squirrel with her car, or telling me about all the bugs and spiders she's saved from people squishing them at work), and she loves her kitties more than anyone else I know and would do anything for them.

Her kitty Rolan has recently been having some problems with obstructions in his bladder and not being able to urinate, urinating blood, and being in extreme pain. She has had to take him to the emergency vet a total of three times now in the past month to get these obstructions cleared using a catheter. We've learned that once a cat obstructs once, it's highly likely they will obstruct again. Last night, 12/2/21, was Rolan's 3rd obstruction and visit to the emergency vet and it's when the vet found that he has multiple kidney stones which could be the cause of these issues. The vet told them at this point they should start thinking about either surgery or euthanization for Rolan. The surgery that the vet is recommending is to remove Rolan's "manhood" and enlarge his urethra to allow for easier flow of urine and make it less likely for a life-threatening blockage to happen again in the future. They just got word that there is a surgeon available to perform the surgery this weekend. They are estimating this surgery could cost anywhere from $2,300 to $3,100.

So far Chloe and Isaac have paid around $2,000 for Rolan's first two vet visits. This current visit and catheter treatment is estimated to be around $2,500 in addition to the surgery, making this trip come to around $4,800 to $5,600. This could potentially be around $7,600 in total to help this poor boy get back to health. Chloe hasn't asked for help financially with this but when I inquired she told me that they might be able to just barely make this work, but I know with the holidays that this is going to be tough for them. They are just 2 young adults living on their own in Watertown, WI.

If you have any means of helping them out it would mean the world to us. We want more than anything for Rolan to be a happy and healthy boy again.

You can use this Go Fund Me page or if you want to use Venmo instead, my venmo name is @summeralyssa. (Chloe does not have a venmo)

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and happy holidays everyone!!!!
