Help Róisín Complete Her Cancer Treatment

Hello, my name is Heather and I live in Erie, PA. I am the proud owner of Róisín, a Miniature Australian Shepherd. She is 8 years old and I have had her for just over one and a half years. She was a puppy mill mama who I rescued through a local organization. She was a very shy little girl when I first adopted her, but her personality has really bloomed! She is, without a doubt, my best friend.

Late in January, I noticed she was limping off and on. Once I determined it was not getting any better, I took her to my local vet on February 4. Through an exam and, most importantly, x-rays, they determined that she has Osteosarcoma originating in her right front humerus. The only treatment is amputation followed by chemotherapy. Right away, I started selling my Lego sets online to raise money for her treatment, which has been pretty successful.

She had her right front leg amputated on February 17th at MedVet in Cleveland. We chose MedVet because they are also running an immunotherapy trial in conjunction with Yale, which we were able to get Róisín into. She has now had both rounds of the vaccine as well as one round of chemotherapy. She will need 4 more rounds of chemo as well as regular blood tests and chest x-rays. I have been able to raise enough funds on my own for her surgery and treatment so far, but I need a little help to fund the remaining chemotherapy treatments. All funds raised will go toward her vet bills and travel costs to and from Cleveland.
