Help Rohingya refugees after massive fire
On March 22, a massive fire swept through our Rohingya refugee camp in Bangladesh. At least 15 people died in the chaos, at least 10,000 homes were destroyed or damaged, and more than 45,000 people were displaced.
We, the Rohingya Youth for Legal Action and the Rohingya Response Emergency Foundation, are community groups of people living in the camps. We are heartbroken after this fire, the second giant blaze to hit the camps this year, and now our local team is helping the displaced. On April 1, another fire burned a market here and killed three people.
We are in need of your support and solidarity with us to help fill gaps where humanitarian agencies are unable to provide. Our support will go to individuals on the ground. We, RYLA/RERF, are raising funds to rebuild shelters for the displaced people and support them with food and personal items. Our goals is to raise 1500 USD but we are happy to receive your donation if you can give anything.
Millions of thanks for your support to us.

Campaign note:
My name is Andrew Haffner and I'm a reporter based in Southeast Asia. A source I work with in the Rohingya refugee camps of Bangladesh contacted me asking for help to set up a fundraiser for his community. He sent the text above, which I lightly edited to start this campaign. All funds raised through this campaign will be transfered to Rashid and his organisation. Feel free to message with any questions. Thanks!
