Early Tuesday morning, my older son drove my younger son, Rogyn, to school. When they arrived, Rogyn realized he had left his book bag and Chromebook at home. Rogyn made the mistake and simply a bad decision of taking my car back to our house to grab it.

Just a couple miles down the road from our home, Rogyn was involved in a one-car serious accident. The car was completely destroyed, flipped over a bridge, and caught fire. A brave man ran down to the ravine and saved Rogyn's life. Another kind woman stopped and called the fire department. We are so incredibly grateful to everyone involved that helped. Rogyn suffered significant injuries and will be in the hospital for some time with his third surgery on Sunday or Monday.

As a family, we are handling medical needs, travel back and forth to the hospital, and the unexpected loss of our only working vehicle. The costs from this accident are adding up quickly—from hospital bills to replacing the car, to the daily expenses of being at the hospital.
