Help Roger House's Family Through His End of Life

My name is Elyse House, but I am not here for me; I am here for my friend & father, Roger House.

For the past year, my father has been battling a litany of cancers; lung cancer, skin cancer, bladder cancer, lymphoma, and also sorosis of the liver.

In the end of June, the doctors at Mercy have decided that Roger's tumor has grown (and multiplied) to fast in too little of time, and will be ending treatment indefinitely.

At first, Roger was still aware of the reality and gravity of the situation, but in the following days, he has become delusional, especially with the high amount of pain medication he is on (that only possibly can help some days), and will need constant care, under some kind of supervision at all moments of the day.

Unfortunately my mother and I are not able to always be with him, and we spend whatever time we can to help, but with the hospice help there is a $3,000 deductible, amongst all of the many post-life necessities we will also have to pay for.

Any help is appreciated, as I know so many of my friends and clients, family and chosen family, know that he has been a light in our lives with the force of a firecracker when it's time to help someone in need.

I'm trying not to cry while I type this, but it is not easy to watch someone you love go through the pain and suffering I have seen and heard these past weeks. None of this is good; none of it ever was going to be, but we have to continue in life and accept what cannot be changed.
