Roger is well know in the Longview & Kelso area he’s lived there for 72 years. Working at Fibre for over 40 years as a millwright. While in the military he was a Drill Sargent. Making friends with everyone he meets along the way. Never forgetting a face or a name. Now is the time he needs your help.
Roger has been battling a rare type of melanoma cancer for 4 years. The cancer spread to his liver for the last 2 years, he was initially given only months to live he has proven to be a fighter in this battle with cancer. After beating the odds with harsh treatments last 2 years, his cancer has now progressed beyond what the infusion treatments had been able to help previously and he was out of options.
Then a blessing occurred in the form of a possible treatment. UCLA asked him to join an experimental clinical trial as his last chance and option at fighting this disease. This is a brand new clinical trial in Los Angeles at UCLA and all appointments will be in California. This will involve several trips down to their hospital, including a 6 week long stay while undergoing CAR-T cell therapy. He will be the 7th melanoma patient to ever receive this type of treatment. The travel and medical expenses for this have started to add up quickly for both him and family who must accompany him for the duration of treatments at UCLA. Any help provided will go directly to Roger and his support system to help with expense involved with this clinical trial so that he can focus on recovery and healing.
Please help us support Roger by donating to this fund, praying for him and sharing this post so others are able to support him through this battle. Thank you!
