Help Roger Battle Ear Cancer in Houston

Update: May 22

We are back In Houston For our 3rd trip. I had my first treatment yesterday morning at 10:30am. Everything went really well. I have 3 more treatments to go as of right now. I hope that they go really well as well but we will have to see. I have a treatment in the morning at 8:55 and then a break for the Memorial day holiday then back at it on May 28th with a Doctor's appointment that day to see how we are doing that day as well. He will let us know if we need to do a treatment on June the 2nd or not. Right now we are not scheduled for the 5th treatment but that is constantly changing on my online schedule. I will try to do a brief update after that meeting with the doctor that morning. God has been so good to us during this. Please continue to send us prayers; they are what are keeping us going. Your donations are greatly appreciated they have helped us so much during all of this. But your prayers are the gold sent that God will cash in when we get to heaven. Thank you!

Update: May 3

No surgery on broken collarbone (for now) Dr concerned radiation could cause issues with healing. If after radiation it is still a concern he can have surgery at that point.

MD Anderson plan, he will travel next week for scans and making mask for radiation. The re-radiation specialist will evaluate and create a very specific plan. His brother will be flying in from CA for a couple of days to be there with him.

We will return to MD Anderson later this month for treatment. Should be 4-5 very targeted sessions that can only be done on specific dates with down time in between so we will be there almost 2 weeks.

Please continue to pray for Roger (still in pain from broken collarbone and rib) for his traveling grace, doctors plans, treatments to have no adverse side effects and our family in general.

Yall remember me this week. It’s when the stuff hits the fan. We should know this week what the treatment plan is. Most likely Tuesday afternoon after 2:30

Had a ct this morning. I have a surgerical

oncologist appointment second thing in the morning. First thing in the morning is auditory appointment at 8:00am. The other is at 8:55. Then on Tuesday I have and appointment at 2:30 then on Thursday at Thursday i have a PET scan @4:30 that im trying to get moved to Monday or Tuesday. Please pray we can get that moved. Thank you!! Update: 4-16-2025

Met with first doctor, we really liked him, will be getting several scans and meeting more doctors over next few days for them to develop a plan / recommendation. Instructed us it should take a week. Prayers please for quick appointments, best doctors/nurse/techs for each appointment, good scans/labs and peace through it all. Thank you all for your prayers and support through this battle.

I was diagnosed with cancer in my left ear canal, and the cancer has gotten into the bone in my ear. I’m searching for treatment alternatives to 60 rounds of radiation, which they wanted to do at UAB. The Lord, through much prayer, has led me to seek a second opinion at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas.
