Help Roe Walk Again: Surgery Needed

Dear friends, family, and animal lovers,

I am asking for your support for sweet little Roe, who desperately needs surgery for a fractured hip and broken femur.

Roe joined our family as couple weeks ago when she was found alone meowing her head off in front of my work. She was malnourished and it was noticeable that she couldn't walk on her back legs. I took her in and got her to the vet where we decided to give it two weeks of some antibiotics, pain meds and rest to help her gain some weight and energy. Fortunately, her health came up and her adventurous, sweet personality came out! Unfortunately though, she was still limping and having a hard time walking on her back left leg.

I took her back to the vet on 08/16/25 where X-rays confirmed a hip and femur fracture in her back left leg. The vet explained that without surgery, Roe faces infection and the leg will likely not heal on its own. The best chance for her to heal completely and return to her happy, active self is through a complex surgical procedure, specifically a femoral head and neck ostectomy (FHO). This surgery will involve creating a false hip joint to stabilize the fractured bone.

However, this specialized surgery, along with pre- and post-operative care, is estimated to cost around $3,000. Unfortunately, most vets do not do payment plans and the cost of surgery will need to be paid upfront for the surgery to take place. I am humbly asking for your help to cover some of these costs.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in helping us reach our goal. The funds raised will be directly applied to Roe's surgery. I will keep everyone updated on her progress as she embarks on this journey of surgery and healing.
