Help Rodrigo Fight Lymphoma and Reunite with His Family

We know there are so many people in need right now, all facing their own battles and all worthy of support. Today, we’re asking you to consider helping Rodrigo Galvez Jr., a devoted father, husband, and hardworking newcomer to Canada who is now fighting for his life far from home and family.

Rodrigo arrived in London Ontario, Canada less than a year ago on a work visa as a mechanic, hoping to build a brighter future for his wife, April, and their two daughters, a 4-year-old and a 6-month-old baby. But after months of working full-time with lingering health concerns, his coworkers encouraged him to go to the hospital, leading to a devastating lymphoma cancer diagnosis just two months ago.

Rodrigo is currently undergoing chemotherapy in London, but his battle is made even harder because he is facing it far from home, as his wife and daughters remain in the Philippines. He has never even met his newest baby daughter.

Given the side effects of treatment, Rodrigo has had to stop working, leaving him with no income to support himself or his family back home. As a temporary worker, his access to financial assistance is limited.

We have set a fundraising goal of $20,000 to help cover:

- Medical expenses (chemotherapy, medications, doctor visits)

- Home health care to aid in his recovery

- Living expenses while he is unable to work

- Support for his wife and daughters in the Philippines

- Hope for a future reunion with his family, and to meet his newborn baby
