i’ve struggled my whole life to get on my feet. I’ve been homeless since I was 15 due to an abusive and addicted father, who would regularly hurt my mother and I. Into my senior year of highschool I obtained stable-ish housing through my partner where I paid rent and remained for a year. Despite my struggles in highschool, i kept my grades up and earned a full ride scholarship to Randolph Macon College, where I began commuting. During December of this year, my former partner not only cheated on me, but kicked me out in the middle of the night during Christmas break, where no resources at my college would be available to me. I slept in a hotel and couch surfed until January when my college was able to obtain me an emergency dorm for the rest of the school year. I recently was informed that I am expected to pay over 3k out of pocket for emergency housing, which i cannot pay. As a result, I can no longer attend college or reapply in the fall. Additionally, even if i can pay off my debt to the college, they informed me that I will be homeless yet again by may regardless. As they have no resources for students in need. My goal is to use this money to help me cover some of the initial cost of an apartment so i can finally have stability that would allow me continue my education. I would really appreciate any form of help, i’ve had a really rough few years and my dream has always been to be able to attend school and earn my degree in evst.
