Help Rodney Recover After a Devastating Motorcycle Accident

**Rodney’s first surgery was the date of his accident, last Tuesday 4/22/25 and due to severe swelling, they had to perform a fasciotomy (emergency procedure to treat swelling and bleeding) on his right leg, and an external fixator to stabilize and support his leg. The injury on his left leg was on his thigh, and he received 12 stitches.

Rodney’s second surgery was Monday 4/28/25 and he received a rod, plates, and screws to his right leg.

Recovery length is approximate, requiring 4-6 weeks off of his right leg, and then easing into physical therapy. They anticipate after roughly three months with recovery and physical therapy that he can return to work.

On April 22nd, Rodney was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that left him with a severely broken leg. His right leg was broken in half and will require two separate surgeries to repair. While we are incredibly grateful that the injuries weren’t even more life-threatening, the road to recovery is going to be long and challenging.

Rodney will be unable to work for at least four months as he heals, leaving him without any income during this time. As a full-time father, he’s not only facing mounting medical expenses but also the day-to-day costs of caring for his daughter and keeping up with household bills.
