After suffering the loss of our older cat’s brother Mclovin, our home felt empty and our hearts heavy. Then, Rodgers came into our lives—brought to our door by two young kids from a family who couldn’t afford to keep him. He filled a major void for our other adult cat Superbad and for us and quickly becoming a cherished part of our household and bringing comfort and joy when we needed it most.

Rodgers was hit by a car and left for dead in our neighborhood. We spent hours searching and calling his name, desperate to find him. When he finally made it home he was in terrible pain. We rushed him to the vet determined to do whatever we could to help him recover. Rodgers is only about a year and a half old but he has already endured so much. He needed emergency surgery to repair his internal organs from his diaphragm which had been crushed from the impact. He has made it through the toughest part of surgery this morning and is stable for now but still in critical condition. He still faces another major operation on his broken leg that cannot be mended and needs to be amputated so there is no risk of further complications. As all pet owners know our fur babies are part of our family and bring joy and content when we need it most. We have paid $10,647 up front to saves Rogers life but his emergency care bill is now approaching $14,000 and we falling short and we do not have many other options but to ask for your help now. Please help us get Rogers home and back to filling our hearts with joy and hopefully yours also!
