Help Roderick on his healing journey

In 2014 Roderick was diagnosed with prostate cancer and had surgery to remove his prostate, no other recommendations for treatment were made except to monitor his PSA at 6 then 12 month intervals.

We explored other ways to support our health moving forward by reducing stress and detoxing our lifestyle.

Everything was going well and Rodericks PSA was very low, then in the later part of 2021 he started to have what we thought were random pain episodes, these episodes would end in a visit to the emergency department because the pain was unbearable.

In December 2021 we got confirmation that the cancer had metastasised and was in his bones.

It was in 3 places on his spine and one in his upper femur/ hip.

The Recommendation from his oncologist was to go on hormone therapy, Testosterone blockers (Testosterone feeds prostate cancer)

This was very efficient at stopping the growth of the cancer but is not without it's own side effects.

These side effects can be quite Broad and they definitely did not tell us about all of the potential side effects when suggesting this as a treatment method.

We have always spoken about taking a more natural approach, to support his body to be it's own healer which it is designed to do given the right circumstances.

Recent test results have reminded us that hormone therapy is not a long term solution instead it is much like a pause button on the disease, there are never any guarantees for how long it will work.

We started this fundraiser with the intention to get to a treatment clinic in Mexico but we have decided at this time it is not the path we will take, we have instead found a Ayurvedic treatment centre in Bali that we will be attending for 3 1/2 weeks in April.

We have also put a plan in place for quite an intensive ongoing treatment protocol for when we return.

This new path forward is still financially demanding on us so we are asking  for any assistance via a donation to raise funds to help Roderick to get the support and assistance in healing he needs.
