Help Me Rebuild My Life

My name is Rocquel “Krazy” McCray, and for more than 26 years, I dedicated my life to serving others as a Correctional Officer and Police Sergeant. I never imagined that one day I would be the one asking for help.

When I met my former partner, she was already living with AIDS. We spent nearly 10 years together, and throughout our relationship I remained HIV negative. As life became increasingly difficult, our relationship came to an end. Around that same time, I found myself facing overwhelming financial hardship, legal challenges, medical expenses, and the difficult task of rebuilding my life from the ground up.

Over the past several months, I have exhausted my savings while fighting to protect my rights, defend my reputation, and rebuild my future. The emotional, financial, and physical toll has been overwhelming, but I refuse to let these setbacks define me.

Despite everything, I refuse to give up. I still believe in integrity, service, and helping others. Today, I am asking for your support as I work to rebuild my life. Your generosity will help me cover ongoing legal battles, secure stable housing, travel to required court hearings and medical appointments, pay for essential medical care, and regain financial stability. It will also help me continue my advocacy and educational work, where I strive to inform, empower, and serve others through the lessons I’ve learned.
