As we all know, we cannot foresee the future. Rocky was doing well in her pregnancy and eager to meet her baby girl. She was feeling good, working, paying her bills, and saving her money to take a few months off work after her baby's arrival in in late March. However, right after the New Year, all her plans were turned upside-down.
On January 2nd Rocky was hospitalized with a severe case of early onset pre-eclampsia. With each day in the hospital, tests being done on Rocky and her baby, we kept believing that her numbers would improve and she could go home. But each day, the doctors repeated the same thing, "This is not a mild case, you're not going home, the goal is to keep the baby where she is as long as possible!"
And now here we are two weeks into this journey, finally accepting that Rocky will spend the remainder of her pregnancy living in the hospital. Knowing that the most important thing for Rocky is to focus on the baby's health, growth, and her own physical, emotional and mental health as well.
Rocky cried when she had to cancel two months' worth of clients and close her business. She cried for herself, she cried for her clients who will miss the care they would have received from her, and she cried for the missed income she was counting on to provide for her daughter. Rocky is embracing the full responsibility for her daughter and will provide for her as a single mother.
Between now and the baby's safe arrival, Rocky's bills are still due. As well as the added cost of moving as her lease will be expiring while she is in the hospital. This unexpected medical condition and interruption of her income has been quite the shock and a strain on her financial situation.
We, Rocky's family, are asking for your assistance to help see her through the next few months. No amount of support is too small as it all adds up. Rocky is so grateful for all the love and support she has received from her friends, family & clients. We are all so grateful.
Thank you for your love, and helping us to ease the financial strain while Rocky remains focused on her and her daughters health.
