Rocky Ripple, a small and close-knit town, has been hit hard by flooding. Many homes in Rocky Ripple have been damaged, and the Town Hall has also been flooded, leaving families and the community facing a difficult road ahead. Residents are now working through the overwhelming tasks of cleaning up, replacing essential supplies, and beginning repairs, while the town is also carrying the burden of community cleanup and costs that have already been incurred.

Town Hall is our community center. We host everything from Girl Scout meetings to game nights, square dancing, bingo to chair yoga. We are a tight knit community and losing our meeting place is tough.

As we assess the damage, things are not looking good for our Town Hall. We have attached new photos of the inside. And it appears the foundation has been damaged. Cracks in walls, the floor is cracked and at 2 different levels.

We know our levee has been severely damaged. At this point, towns and cities in Marion County have not been designated as a major disaster by FEMA, just private individuals. We are doing everything we can to get this designation. But even then, it could be many months before any money comes through.

This fundraiser has been created to support the town and residents of Rocky Ripple directly. Funds will go to families who need help with supplies and cleanup, and they will also help the town cover community cleanup efforts and related expenses from the flooding. Every dollar helps. Any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser, will mean so much to Rocky Ripple during this time. How Funds Will Be Used and Accounted For

The Town of Rocky Ripple is raising funds to support our residents and the town itself. All assistance provided through this fundraiser will follow strict accountability and transparency standards:

Proof of residency will be required for anyone requesting assistance.

Receipts will be required for all reimbursements to ensure funds are used exactly as intended.

All donations will be tracked as a separate line item in the Town’s financial summary.

This dedicated line item will be fully auditable by the Indiana State Board of Accounts (SBOA) during their regular examinations.

No outside beneficiary is listed; funds are managed directly by the Town under established procedures.

These steps ensure that every dollar donated is used responsibly, transparently, and for the direct benefit of Rocky Ripple residents and community needs.
