Help Rocky Regain Health

Hello, I'm Jenae, Jameson's sister. I wanted to start this fundraiser for my brother and his beloved four-legged friend, Rocky. Here is their story.

 

About two and a half years ago, a sweet, furry buddy entered the life of Jameson Pieper. Jameson rescued Rocky from Second Hand Hounds in Edina. Rocky has been an incredible support animal, helping Jameson through periods of anxiety and depression. Since Rocky also has some fear of certain things, they have been mutually beneficial to each other.

 

Unfortunately, about six months ago, Rocky began to lose some of his hair. Trips to Grand Avenue Vet Clinic did not come to a diagnosis, despite various expensive blood work and day-long medical tests. Then Rocky developed a rash on his neck that cracked open and bled. His vet referred him to a specialist at the Animal Emergency and Referral Center of Minnesota. Rocky was a real trooper throughout various blood tests and an abdominal ultrasound. Vet bills have been mounting. Rocky has begun to lose muscle mass as well as develop a bladder infection. Finally, the diagnosis came back--Rocky has Cushing's disease due to a tumor on his pituitary gland at the base of his skull. This tumor is inoperable but can be treated with expensive medication. Rocky will need this medication for the rest of his life.

 

To make matters even more difficult, Jameson's car was stolen outside of his residence nights ago.
