Help Rocky Mtn Choc Factory, Damaged by Riots

** PLEASE SEE UPDATES** In the early morning hours of June 1st, looters and rioters vandalized our beloved family business, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Old Sacramento. The store was opened in May of 1983, just before the 9th Annual Jazz Festival and has since become a staple place to visit in Old Sacramento. We, the daughters of the Haws' who own Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, are asking for help for our parents who have worked hard to build this business and keep it running for the past 37 years. They have provided not only for our family, but for countless other Sacramento local employees and their families. The funds go directly to help get Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory fully repaired, continuing to service the community, take care of their employees, and selves. They have been paying all costs out of their own pockets currently and during the Covid-19 pandemic, while not receiving a dime for themselves. Barely making ends meet, the store had just reopened. Then rioters and looters vandalized and trashed the store, closing it yet again. Not only is our family deeply affected from the damages and forced closure, but also all of their amazing employees who have become like family over the years. Anyone who knows Old Sacramento, knows Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, and has fun memories there. We encourage you to share those fun, positive memories with your donation. Any little bit helps them to repair the store to its former glory, so we all can continue to enjoy making those sweet memories when in Old Sacramento. Our parents come from a generation where they never ask for help from anyone. This pains them so much that we are even having to ask for help. They have put their blood, sweat, and tears into this business over the past 4 decades and is now suffering greatly. Any help at all is so greatly appreciated in these trying times.
