Rocko, my 9-month-old boxer, has always been a source of joy and comfort in my life, but recently, everything changed. After spending time at my buddy's house, he came back home looking thin and weak, having lost 20 pounds in just a short time. For two weeks, I was desperate to figure out what was wrong, watching him suffer and not knowing how to help. Eventually, we discovered he has lead poisoning, and now he's facing serious neurological issues that have made every day a struggle for him.


As a 19-year-old, the mounting expenses have become overwhelming. In the search for answers, Rocko underwent a surgery that we later found out wasn't needed, simply because we didn't know what was causing his symptoms at the time. Now, on top of the emotional stress, I'm facing bills I can't cover on my own, along with the ongoing costs of special treatments to get the lead out of his body. It's heartbreaking to see him in pain and not be able to give him everything he needs to recover.
