Hi everyone. Many of you are familiar with the Vetrone family and their sweet 5 year old dachshund, Rocket. Rocket is one of the most gentle, loving, and emotionally intelligent dogs I have ever met. He loves to snuggle, go for walks, zoom around the backyard, play tug of war, and be a couch potato. Anyone who meets him instantly falls in love with his sweet nature and charm. It is no surprise to say that he has been an absolute gift to Mike and Gill and completes the Vetrone family.
For those who do not know, Rocket has epilepsy and IVDD, a degenerative disc disorder of the spine. Mike and Gill have done everything they possibly can to help support Rocket with his diagnoses, including medications, physical therapy, laser treatments, acupuncture, and hydrotherapy. They have spent hours upon hours researching treatments and trying out new ways to help Rocket stay happy, safe, healthy, and comfortable. Unfortunately, Rocket's journey of healing hit a big bump in the road today.
On January 31st, Rocket was rushed to the vet because he was unable to move his back legs due to a slipped disc in his back. He is now having to undergo surgery today to relieve him of the pain and hopefully resume function in his back legs again. This is unfortunately Rocket's second back surgery and his loving family could really use some support with the high cost of emergency surgery.
If you are able to contribute to this fundraiser to support Rocket and the Vetrones, it would be so appreciated. Every dollar counts and will make a world of difference. It would also be wonderful if you could share this fundraiser with others to help spread the word.
Thank you so much for considering supporting this amazing dog and his sweet parents. We are so grateful!
Rocket McWeen, we love you so much and are wishing you a quick recovery!
