Rocket is my orange cat, full of personality and always bringing joy to our home. Just this past Monday, I had to rush him to the ER vet after noticing he wasn’t himself. The vets did x-rays and found something in his chest, but they weren’t sure what it was. Today, we saw an internal medicine specialist for a chest ultrasound, and they discovered a large mass. Right now, we don’t know if it’s cancerous, but it’s clear Rocket needs more care.
The next steps are a CT scan and surgery to remove the mass. The costs for these procedures are overwhelming, and I want to do everything I can to give Rocket the best chance at recovery. We haven’t had the best luck with our cats—our oldest passed away suddenly last year, and when we adopted a new cat to help Rocket cope, that kitty became very sick and needed expensive, life-saving medicine. Now, Rocket is facing his own health crisis, and it’s been a tough journey for all of us.
If you’re able to help, your support would mean the world to me and Rocket. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to getting him the care he needs. Thank you for reading our story and for any kindness you can share.
