Hello everyone, my partner Justin and I (Erin) have had a rough few months and now we are dealing with another vet bill, another hospital stay for our babies.

Rocket (brindle tabby) and Stephen (orange tabby) suddenly came down with upper respiratory infections over the weekend. Steve is home and on lots of meds but Rocket has had to spend a couple days in an oxygen chamber in the hospital. We are scared, tired, and worrying about our cats. Rocket is improving and we are hopeful to bring him home soon but as you can imagine this is a very expensive hospital stay.

Rocket and Stephen are a bonded pair, brothers. Never leaving each others side they got sick together. It has been tough to see our lively, crazy Rocky helplessly losing all the excitement in his eyes. Steve right now just seems stuck, sleeping and recovering, waiting for his best friend to come home.

The last few months have been trying physically, mentally, and financially. We just lost our older girl Luana in December. Left heartbroken, her cancer diagnosis and treatment set us back a hefty amount. Soon after Luana’s passing Steve had a urinary blockage, having to get an operation stay in the hospital for three days. He recovered and we are taking preventative measures so it does not happen again, but this was another huge hit financially.

Leaving a few things out in between, but the past 6 months have been extremely hard on us. We are so grateful to have our babies and each other alive and recovering but we have a huge cloud of debt over our heads making it hard to move on. In all we are about $15,000 in medical debt since December.

None of these issues have been related or can be tied to a certain cause, just very unlucky. We have active medical discounts for our cats but it only helps so much. We are asking for a little help and support, in our debt and in our babies recoveries. Anything is appreciated.
