- Rock the Rez is a 5-day rock n’ roll music camp for Indigenous girls, Two-Spirit, gender diverse, and LGBTQ+ youth. Campers attend for 5 days and will learn either guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboard, or vocals. The youth will then form a band, and work together to write an original song, and perform their song at the end of the week for family, friends, and community.
- Where do we go? Pine Ridge, SD, Rosebud, SD, Rapid City, SD, Twin Cities, MN, and Bemidji, MN!
In 2025 Rock The Rez brought a long long list of items to 5 communities in both South Dakota and Minnesota! We brought 12+ guitar and bass amps, 4 drums sets, 15 guitars and basses, 4 keyboards, 2 PA systems, bins and bins of art supplies, coolers of food and drinks, and so much more! To do this we rented a 5'x8' tow trailer from U-Haul, so we would unload it, drop it off, pick one up, load it up, rinse, repeat.
But we want our own trailer!
