Help Rocco Get ACL Surgery & Get Back to Football!

Rocco is an 11yo boy who was born and raised in Penrith, NSW until he relocated in 2022 to the Sunshine Coast.

Rocco took his first steps with an NRL ball in his hands, he lives and breathes football. Rugby League is his passion, his dream, and his future.

Rocco has played representative football for the past few years here on the Sunshine Coast and was set to do so again this year already making 2 representative teams in 2025.

He’s always dreamed of playing at the highest level of rugby league, just like his hero Nathan Cleary, But a devastating injury has put that dream on hold.

The night after his 11th birthday Rocco was playing the game he loves most when his knee collided with a man’s shin in a game of footy and in doing so has torn his meniscus and completely ruptured his ACL, meaning he needs surgery ASAP if he ever wants to play sport again. The surgeon has set a date March 28th, 2025 but we need to come up with the funds before then to make it happen for him. This surgeon specialises in sporting ACL injuries in children. Dr Ivan has opened up a spot in March to ensure Rocco is back on the field by next year.

This surgery is crucial for Rocco to regain full strength and stability in his knee. Without it, he may never be able to play the sport he loves again. We’re reaching out for help to cover the cost of the operation and the on going rehab he’ll need to get back on the field by 2026.
