Robyn's life has been full of challenges; from language deprivation to language trauma, the journey has been long. Robyn is Deaf, and although she does use ASL and English to communicate, neither language was developed enough to take on the intricate path of Cancer. Roadblocks emerged when her inability to understand the doctor's or the Interpreter's instructions on how to deal with her cancer became impassable.
